These descriptions come from different evidence. The official welcome article supports the generic benefit. The $10 terms come from MainGame's offer information and need confirmation for your account. Neither description establishes that both benefits will be available together.
What 3.5% of house edge means
The percentage is not 3.5% of every stake or a promised refund of losses. To illustrate the base, a hypothetical $100 wager on a game with a 1% house edge has a $1 house-edge amount. Applying 3.5% to that $1 gives $0.035, or 3.5 cents.

Use the affiliate window, then identify the offer
Open Stake through the MainGame route and use MAINGAMECODES during signup if you choose to register. Stake also documents code entry under Settings → Offers within 24 hours of account creation. After 24 hours, the code cannot be entered.
